Assault With A Deadly Weapon/Attempted Murder, 4312 Deep Creek Blvd

When I lived next door to them, I never felt safe. I couldn't even take out the trash or mow the lawn without keeping my cellphone in my hand. No one should have to live in such a state of constant fear.

Late one night, while working on my laptop, I had my security camera app open—as has been my habit for over two years. I realized I had forgotten to move my car from the street to the driveway. At the time, Shannon’s wife, Melisa Cutler (an O'Reilly Auto Parts employee), worked nights, and Shannon would often drive around until she returned home.

Seeing that he had just driven down our side street, I ran outside to quickly move my car, but in my haste, I forgot my phone. I didn't even make it past the sidewalk. As I walked around my father’s Jeep, Shannon spotted me and deliberately maneuvered his vehicle into my path. If you use the tree in the footage as a reference point, you can see his headlights stop as he blocked my way, refusing to move toward the stop sign.

Once I managed to get into my car and pull up behind him, he moved to the stop sign. Again, using the tree as a reference, you can see his taillights move backward as he shifted into reverse, acting as though he was going to ram my vehicle. It was only when a neighbor’s niece drove past in a blue car—and he realized there was a witness—that he finally pulled away and drove into his yard. Video Here

I filed a police report, but the department dismissed it, claiming it was a "duplicate." It was not. The previous report concerned an incident where he ripped the rear windshield wiper off my car, damaging the attachment point and rendering it useless. I now have to keep a sponge on the wiper arm to prevent it from scratching the glass, which contains sensitive automatic moisture sensors. Image 1  Image 2  Image

A police report was filed for that property damage as well, but it was also dismissed because the officers called me late at night while I was asleep. Because I didn't answer, they closed the file. Consequently, he continues to get away with both property damage and assault with a deadly weapon.
